Editorial policy and corrections
PermitWave publishes planning guidance to help readers organize permit questions and find the responsible authority.
Attribution and technical review
Guides are attributed to PermitWave as an organization. An organizational byline does not identify a licensed professional or establish that a guide has received professional review. We publish a named reviewer or credential only when that person's role and qualifications are verified.
Sources and uncertainty
Local examples link to municipal or provincial sources. A source-check date records when those references were checked; it does not mean the municipality endorsed the guide. Property-specific eligibility and code decisions remain with the responsible authority and appropriate qualified professionals.
Dates and updates
We display an exact publication or modification date when it is known. Older guides with an unverified publication history omit that date. A build or deployment alone does not count as an editorial update. Fees, programs and application processes should be checked directly before a commitment.
Request a correction
Contact PermitWave with the guide URL, the disputed statement and an official reference where possible. Avoid sending private client documents as part of a public editorial correction. We assess corrections against the source and update affected guidance when warranted.
Guidance and paid services
Public guides and automated previews are preliminary planning aids. They do not issue permits, certify compliance or replace design and municipal review. The illustrative report outline explains the scope; pricing lists paid options. Confirm project-specific service commitments with PermitWave before purchase.
